Missions Statement
As God's church we desire to be a light shining brightly for His glory. We do this by seeking tangible ways to engage our world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through the following ministries, we pray, that God will use us to make an impact for His kingdom in our community, nation, and world.
Local Missions
Prayer
- Weekly Prayer Service - We meet weekly to pray for the needs of our congregation as well as the spiritual needs of our community. Our closing prayer is, "Lord give us this community and do it in such a way that only you get the glory for it."
- As part of our visitation outreach we intentionally ask for prayer needs and spend time praying with each household before leaving.
- Prayer walk - At times during the year, our congregation walks through our community and prays for households and our local government.
Evangelism
- Visitation - On Tuesday evenings we pair up in groups of two or three and travel through our community sharing the Gospel.
- Community Gospel Service - We invite our community to join us in the park for a Gospel message.
- Tract Sunday - Once a year our congregation participates in a nationwide effort to share the Gospel through handing out tracts to unbelievers.
Physical Needs Ministry
Our prayer is that while meeting Physical Needs, we will also have opportunity to meet Spiritual Needs. We desire to aid families in both Physical Nourishment and Spiritual Nourishment.
- Food Pantry - Members of our church donate staple household items and food to the pantry so that we might help those who are in need.
- Thanksgiving Meals - During Thanksgiving we seek to provide a meal for families who are unable to afford a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
- Angel Food Ministries - A ministry where families can purchase quality food at a low cost, making every dollar of their budget count.
